What I read in Blue was that Ann Fay mad her brother and sisters help her gather the potatoes. Bobby doesn't want to help because he tells Ann Fay that Pete and him are sick. When all of them are done picking the potatoes Bobby starts hollering that his legs hurt. But Ann Fay tells her sisters to leave him alone. But Ida and Ellie went next to Bobby. Then their mom comes out and starts screaming too because Bobby had polio. They rushed him to the hospital. While Bobby and their mom were gone a health officer came to Ann Fay's house and said she had to burn all of Bobby's toys.
