In the book hatchet I learned that Brian landed the crash but not safely he hit the trees. Then the plane pounced pretty much of the tree and fell in the water. He climbed out of the broken windsheild. his mucssles were not woking so it was hard to move. So mosquitoesand flies bit him so bad his face was swollen shut were he could not see.

In Hatchet I'm reading about Brian Robeson flying in a plane to go see his dad. In the chapter I read it was about Brian crashing in the plane. He thought at first he was going to die but he didn't. In the other chapter I read the plane had crashed into a path of fallen trees and rolled into a lake. So Brian had to swim out and lay down. He fell asleep and the next morning he woke up and was attack by swarms of mosquitos and other bugs. He felt the sun's blaze and the next thing the bugs are gone. So he gets up and he takes a look around. He gets tired and goes back and falls asleep under a pine.

Brian survived the plane crash.  He landed in a lake and he had to get out of the plane.  When he was out of the water, there was a swarm of flies.  They started biting him.   His face was really swollen.  He had to survive in the wilderness.

I am reading Hatchet.  So far I have read to chapter 4.  It's about a kid named Brian.  He was going to bring supplies to his dad who works at an oil field.  While he is flying the pilot has a heart attack.  Brian doesn't know what to do so he takes the headset off the pilot and calls for help. The signal breaks up and he is left alone to try to fly the plane all alone!  After 2 hours the plane's fuel runs out.   So, Brian tries to land the plane in a lake.  When tries to land the plane it sinks into the lake and he barely makes it out alive.

Brian was piloting the plane when all the lakes disappeared.  He was looking out of the windshield when he saw an opening of fallen trees.  He pulled the nose down and the plane sped up and went down.  The plane crashed and Brian managed to get out of the plane. All the memories of his parent's divorce came back to him in extreme detail.  He had it all: the time, the date, and the wierd station wagon his mom didn't drive.

I learned in chapter ninteen of Blue that in the polio hospitals they had to use Kenny packs.  The packs helped smooth the muscles. I also found out that Pete ran away from the hospital.

I am still reading the book Blue.  At the hospital, Ann Faye learns that Bobby's dog, Pete, had gone under the hospital and died.  I think it was because he figured out that Bobby had died and he was so sad.  I really like this book because it tells how hard it was for them when Bobby dies and Ann Fay finds out she has polio and that their dad is gone in the war.

Blue is an excellent book, and is suspenseful and also sad! Ann Fay is with Imogene in the polio tent at night and can't go to sleep because she thinks she will die of polio like Bobby. Also, Pete died because his master Bobby was dead and he was so sad.If you want a good,edge of your seat, book I recommend Blue!

The worst part was that Ann Fay found out that Pete died of a broken heart because, Pete missed Bobby.

Ann Fay learned that polio hit who ever it could get to. the nurse put kenny packs on her. A kenny pack is steamed wool that they put where ever you had polio. Also there was a board keeping her feet up so she would not get drop foot.

Today I read pages 0-133. Peter goes to drop a mango on Hook/ Black Stache. Instead of Hook moving the mango dropped right into his hand and he ate it.  Hook sent some of men out to get James. James followed Peter out onto the wrong side of the island. Hook's men got James and told Peter that they would meet tomorrow. The worst sickness, polio, has been spreading quickly.  Poor four year old Bobby catches it.  So Ann Fay becomes the oldest person in the house to look after her two little sisters.  Junior, their neighbor, offers to help out and tries to cheer everyone up.  Doctors from Yale visit to try to find the cause of Bobby's sickness.

I am reading Blue.  Bobby gets polio and Ann Fay thinks it's her fault.  There are all these doctors coming tho their house and they told her to wash all the sheets and scrub the house good and burn Bobby's toys.  I really like this book because it was set in the old times and it tells how hard it was for them to grow food.

Then One day Bobby, Ann Fay's Little brother came down with Polio and was taken to the Polio hospital and has to use an iron lung to breathe. Ann Fay and her twin sisters are planning to go to see Momma.

Momma was sweeping the front porch and Bobby sneezes.  Momma runs over and gives Bobby a big red hankie.  Momma decides to call an ambulance because she's worried Bobby has polio.  Junior comes over looking for an ambulance and sees a hearse instead.  Ann Fay was washing clothes after Bobby went to the hospital.  She thinks she wants to burn Bobby's toys but she knows she can't with the two twins watching her every move.

Then a health inspector comes and asks her some questions like who hes been around with polio.She said he hasnt been around anyone.They asked her to clean everything in the house and burn Bobby's toys. She knew she couldn't do that.

When all of them are done picking the potatoes Bobby starts hollering that his legs hurt. But Ann Fay tells her sisters to leave him alone. But Ida and Ellie went next to Bobby. Then their mom comes out and starts screaming too because Bobby had polio. They rushed him to the hospital. While Bobby and their mom were gone a health officer came to Ann Fay's house and said she had to burn all of Bobby's toys.
