Ann Fay's little brother Bobby got polio.  He was taken to the hospital in a hearse because they had a shortage of ambulances.  Ann Fay had to stay home with her younger sisters.  The doctor and the nurse came to their house and told them only family was allowed.  They told her to wash everything and to burn Bobby's toys.
