In Blue AnnFay gets polio.Which is real hard for her family. Bobby died, and daddy was in the war. Also the twins are with Mamaw Honeycut. AnnFay meets a colored girl name Imogene who she becomes friends with, in the emergency hospital. She had only been there for a week and she thought she was going to die. AnnFay, while in the hospital, thought how she worked Bobby till he dropped.
